Sick and Loving it :)

Last night around 3 am I heard Madison calling for me.  I went into their room and she had thrown up.  She seemed perfectly happy, as kids often do even when they're sick.  In fact, as I started changing her sheets she was giggling at me, she thought it was so funny for me to do it in the middle of the night.  Then she really got excited when I started putting her in the bathtub.  I couldn't help but laugh as I washed her, she thought it was the greatest thing.  Little kids amaze me.  I didn't even mind the smell and all the cleaning because she was just so happy about it all.  She knew exactly which jammies she wanted to wear, and was thrilled when we got them on.  Then she brought me a book to read to her while I combed her hair.  Every time I finished a book, she sprinted into her room for another one.  When she runs, her belly leads the way and the rest of her body tries to keep up.  She's always one step away from a huge fall, but she can't seem to slow herself down.  Her head bobs up and down as she dodges toys on the floor without slowing down.  Watching her run makes me laugh every time :)   This isn't from last night, but here's my cutie:

Finally over an hour later, we curled up together in the rocking chair with her blanket, pacifier, a bottle and a stuffed animal.  Then partway through her bottle she threw up again--all over me, herself, the blankets, chair, floor, etc.  So we got up and did it all over again.  I didn't mind so much.  There's something special about those nights, as tired as I am the next day.  I'm so thankful for my little Madison.

You're a great mom! I didn't know little kids were happy when they were sick. Hope she got better fast!
